Last week I held my workshop on Clarifying your Mission and Creating SMART goals. I really enjoyed working with the women who attended.
The one area that they had the biggest challenge with in the Past was keeping to the goals that they set. Why? Do you think it was due to lack of motivation? That was really only one piece. The bigger piece was that they were not setting a deadline/time factor, the T in SMART goals.
Since there was no deadline there was no accountability to themselves.
Nothing pushing them towards their goals.
You have to set a realistic deadline for those goals. Yes, if life gets in the way you can change the deadline. Pick a date that is realistic and achievable.
